About Us

We offer the best of both worlds—a nurturing childcare center and the warmth of a home.

At Pequeños Genios, we believe that early childhood is a magical time for growth, discovery, and connection. Our bilingual program nurtures children in both English and Spanish, blending the warmth of a home with the structure of a Montessori-inspired hybrid education.

We are committed to providing a safe, loving, and enriching environment where children thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Our vision is to empower every child to explore confidently, learn joyfully, and develop their unique potential — all while celebrating cultural diversity and language development..

At Pequeños Genios, our mission is to foster a nurturing, bilingual environment where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to grow. We aim to support each child’s individuality through meaningful play, guided learning, and strong cultural values that reflect both English and Spanish traditions.

Jenniffer Paola Páez

I am Colombian and have a background in telecommunications engineering. My husband and I moved to the United States in 2018, where I had the life-changing opportunity to work at a childcare center. I quickly realized how much I loved working with children—it was challenging but incredibly rewarding. I didn’t know then that this would become my true calling.

During my four years at the center, I supported many families, including during the pandemic. It was a time of great need, and I felt honored to continue caring for children whose parents served the community. That same year, I became pregnant with my daughter, who is now four years old and our greatest motivation.

After she was born, I wanted to be close to her, but I returned to work when she was only three months old. Although she was in the same center, we were in separate classrooms. I appreciated the staff, but I longed to be by her side. That desire led me to seek a new path.

Soon after, I began working as a nanny for two babies, while also caring for my daughter at home. It was a fulfilling experience—I treated those children like my own. Sometimes they even called me «mom,» which deeply touched my heart.

After nearly three years in that role, I knew it was time to create something of my own. Starting a licensed home childcare program was a natural next step. Even though saying goodbye to children is always hard, it brings joy to know they leave with confidence and love.

Now, my husband and I are opening our home to more families. We want to provide a safe, nurturing space for children to grow, and support our community in the process. Our goal is to offer something truly special.

Along the way, I’ve continued my education in early childhood development. I hold a certificate in Culturally Responsive Early Childhood Education from Antioch University. Together with my husband, we remain committed to giving your children the love, care, and learning they deserve.

I’m originally from Colombia, where I earned a degree in Electromechanical Engineering. After moving to the United States, I worked for nearly seven years in a warehouse, where I developed leadership skills and a strong work ethic. But everything changed when my wife and I decided to start a home-based childcare program.

Becoming a father shifted my perspective. I realized how important it is to be present in my daughter’s life—to create a safe, loving environment where she feels supported every day. That desire to be more involved at home led me to this new and beautiful path.

Although my professional background wasn’t in childcare, I’ve always enjoyed working with kids. In college, I worked as a party entertainer, which helped me pay for my studies and taught me how to connect with children in fun and meaningful ways.

Now, I’m committed to building something bigger with my family—a place where other children can feel the same love and security I want for my daughter. I want every child who walks into our home to feel safe, valued, and happy.

I’m currently studying and training to become a certified childcare provider. It brings me joy to support children in their early years, and to give families peace of mind knowing their little ones are in caring hands.
