Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you accept?

Pequeños Genios welcomes children from 3 months to 13 years old, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.

What are your hours?

We are open Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 5:30pm.

Where are you located?

We are located at 107 Willow Avenue, Sultan, WA 98294.

Do you accept DSHS / WCCC childcare assistance?

Yes! We accept DSHS and Working Connections Child Care (WCCC) subsidy. Contact us to learn more about how to apply and whether your family qualifies.

What is your bilingual program?

Our program offers daily learning in both English and Spanish. Children are immersed in both languages through storytelling, songs, activities, and everyday interactions — building vocabulary, cultural awareness, and cognitive skills naturally.

What is a Montessori-inspired hybrid approach?

We draw on Montessori principles — child-led learning, hands-on materials, and fostering independence — blended with the warmth of a home-based environment and bilingual instruction. This hybrid approach means we adapt our methods to each child’s individual pace and learning style.

Is bilingual education beneficial for children who only speak English at home?

Absolutely. Research consistently shows that early exposure to a second language strengthens overall cognitive development, memory, problem-solving, and social skills — regardless of the child’s home language. Many of our families are English-only at home and choose us specifically for the Spanish immersion benefit.

How many children do you care for at a time?

As a licensed home childcare, we maintain small group sizes to ensure every child receives individual attention, meaningful connections with caregivers, and a calm, home-like environment.

What does a typical day look like?

Each day at Pequeños Genios includes a consistent routine of bilingual story time, sensory play, science discovery, creative arts, math exploration, outdoor group walks, mindfulness activities, and meals. Structure and flexibility are balanced so children feel secure while staying engaged.
