Our Four Age Groups, From Infant to School-Age
One of the advantages of a home-based program like ours is that we don’t have to draw hard lines between age groups the way a larger center might. Still, it helps to know roughly what to expect at each stage:
Infants (3 months – 12 months)
Our youngest children get a gentle, predictable rhythm of feeding, sleep, and one-on-one attention. At this age, learning happens through touch, sound, and connection — being held, talked to, and responded to consistently.
Toddlers (1 – 3 years)
Toddlers are exploring independence in a big way. Activities focus on hands-on materials, simple choices, and lots of movement, alongside the very beginnings of our Montessori Hybrid and bilingual approach.
Preschool (3 – 5 years)
Preschoolers get the fullest expression of our Montessori Hybrid curriculum — independent work with hands-on materials, balanced with outdoor play, sensory activities, and group projects, all woven through with Spanish and English.
School-Age (5 – 13 years)
For school-age children, we provide before- and after-school care that fits around the school day, with homework support, group activities, and continued bilingual exposure.
The Benefits of a Mixed-Age, Home-Based Setting
Because we’re home-based rather than a large center, your children aren’t necessarily separated into different rooms by age the way they might be elsewhere. Siblings can attend together, younger children get exposure to more advanced language and play by watching older kids, and older children build patience and leadership by helping the younger ones. It’s less like a classroom and more like an extended family.
